Terms of Service

1. Agreement, Acceptance & Language

By creating a SundayFree account, scheduling a pickup, or otherwise using our website or app (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You accept these Terms electronically by checking the box that says you agree when you sign up or when we ask you to accept them. We keep a record of the date and the version of the Terms you accepted. That electronic acceptance has the same effect as a signature.

These Terms are available in English and Spanish. The Spanish version is provided for your convenience. If the two versions differ in any way, the English version controls.

2. Who We Are

SundayFree is a laundry pickup, wash, and delivery service currently operating across the Milwaukee, Wisconsin metro area. SundayFree is operated by SundayFree LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company (referred to as “SundayFree,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

3. Eligibility & Your Account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create a SundayFree account. The Service is for personal and household laundry only. It is not for businesses or for resale.

You confirm that the information you provide (name, email, phone number, and pickup address) is accurate, and you agree to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password and your account private, and for what happens under your account. Please tell us right away at support@sundayfreelaundry.com if you think someone else has used your account.

4. Service Area, Hours & Timing

SundayFree currently serves a limited set of zip codes across the Milwaukee metro area, including the city of Milwaukee and several nearby municipalities. We check your address against our active coverage zones when you save it. If your area is not yet covered, we will save your address and notify you when service becomes available there.

We pick up and deliver between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and may close on certain holidays; we will tell you in advance when we do. The pickup and delivery windows are arrival windows, not exact times: our driver will arrive at some point during the window. We may adjust a window because of route, weather, safety, or volume, and we will notify you when we do.

Our standard turnaround is 2 business days from pickup to delivery, and 1 business day for the Concierge plan. “Business days” are Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays on which we are closed. These turnaround times are goals, not guarantees. Section 16 describes what happens if an order is delayed.

5. What the Service Is (and Is Not)

SundayFree picks up your laundry, washes it, dries it, folds it, and delivers it back to you. All orders are machine washed and machine dried at self-service laundry facilities that we use. We do not offer dry cleaning, pressing, ironing, hang-drying, air-drying, alterations, repairs, or stain removal beyond standard pre-treatment.

We may use our own employees, independent contractors, and third-party facilities to perform the Service (see Section 20).

6. Preparing Your Laundry; Items We Do Not Accept

You are responsible for what you put in your laundry bag. Before pickup, please check all pockets, linings, and folds, and remove anything that should not be washed.

Please do not include: dry-clean-only items (such as suits, ties, silk, leather, suede, or fur); cash, jewelry, watches, electronics, medications, keys, important documents, or other valuables; items that are not yours or that you are not allowed to give us; items that need specialized cleaning; firearms, ammunition, or weapons; and any illegal, hazardous, or unsafe item. We may refuse any item, return it unwashed, or contact you before we proceed.

We take reasonable care to check pockets before washing. This check is a best-effort precaution and not a guarantee. We are not responsible for items left in pockets or in laundry that are missed during this check, except as described in Section 16.

If you include an item that we do not accept, our liability for that item, if any, is limited as described in Section 16.

7. Hazardous, Unsanitary or Infested Items

For the safety of our team and other customers, items that contain bodily fluids, mold, mildew, excessive pet hair or waste, bed bugs, lice, fleas, or other pests, or other unsanitary material may be subject to a $25 sanitation fee. Items containing hazardous objects (such as needles, syringes, ammunition, or broken metal or glass) may be refused or subject to a $50 hazard fee. We will contact you before continuing to process an order that contains such items, and we may return the items unwashed, require special handling at an additional cost we tell you in advance, or dispose of items that cannot be safely handled.

Please tell us when you schedule an order if your laundry contains biological stains, pet items, or anything else that needs special handling.

8. Placing an Order

To schedule a pickup, you provide your pickup address and access instructions, select an available date and time window, and set your wash preferences. Each pickup window has a limited number of available orders, and slots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. An order is confirmed when we show it in your account or send you a confirmation. We may decline or reschedule an order because of capacity, service area, safety, or weather.

You are responsible for confirming that the pickup address and access instructions you provide are accurate and complete before you submit your order. We ask you to confirm the address as a separate step. SundayFree is not responsible for a missed, delayed, or misdirected pickup or delivery caused by an incorrect or incomplete address or access instructions. If you need to correct your address after submitting an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

9. Pricing, Weights & Taxes

We charge by the pound of laundry processed, at the rate for the plan you select, subject to the minimum weight for that plan (for example, 18 lb for a Single Pickup and 10 lb per pickup for subscription plans). Some items, such as pet items and bulky items, are priced per item instead. Current prices and minimums are published on our website. Any fees described in these Terms are in addition to these charges.

Any price shown before we weigh your laundry is an estimate. We weigh your laundry on a scale at pickup and send you a photo of it on the scale. The weight recorded at that time is the weight we bill you for. If your laundry is wet or damp when we weigh it, it is weighed as it is received, so please give us dry laundry.

Prices are shown before applicable sales tax. Where sales tax applies to the Service, we will add it and show it on your invoice.

We may change prices and fees from time to time. A change applies only to future orders and never to an order you have already placed. If you have a subscription, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice before a price change affects you, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

10. Payment, Authorization Holds & Billing Adjustments

Payment is processed through a secure third-party payment processor. When card payments are available in your account, you authorize SundayFree to charge your saved payment method for the final amount of each order, for any subscription charges described in Section 21, and for any fees described in these Terms. Until card payments are available, we will invoice you through your account or by email, and you agree to pay the invoiced amount by the method we make available.

When you place an order, we may place a temporary authorization hold on your payment method for the estimated amount. A hold is not a charge, and it is released if the order does not go forward. After we weigh your laundry, we may show you a preliminary invoice. The final amount is confirmed, and your payment method is charged, when your order goes out for delivery.

If something changes the final amount, we will show the adjustment as a separate line on your invoice with a reason and, where possible, a photo. Examples include items that were not declared when you scheduled (such as pet items or bulky items), a weight that differs from the estimate, or a fee described in these Terms. If the actual weight differs from the estimate by more than 15%, we may keep the order on hold and contact you before we continue.

Refunds and credits are issued to your original payment method or as account credit, as we determine. Refunds can take up to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.

If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first so we can fix it quickly (see Section 17). If you dispute a charge with your bank for a service that you received, you agree that we may give your bank and our payment processor our records for the order, including photos, weights, and messages. We may pause your account until the dispute is resolved. If the dispute is decided in our favor, then to the extent permitted by law you will remain responsible for the original charge and for any dispute fees charged to us.

11. Failed Payments & Unpaid Accounts

If a charge to your payment method fails, we will notify you and may retry the charge. While a balance is unpaid, we may pause your account from scheduling new pickups and may hold your order until payment is made. We do not charge interest on unpaid balances. To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for the reasonable costs of collecting an overdue balance.

If your laundry remains with us because a balance is unpaid, or because we have not been able to deliver it after reasonable attempts, we will hold it safely and contact you by email and in your account. We will not sell, donate, or dispose of your laundry before 6 months have passed. If the charges are still unpaid after that time, we may sell your laundry, or donate or dispose of it if it has no resale value, in each case as permitted by Wis. Stat. § 779.71. Before any sale, we will send notice by registered letter to the address you gave us at least 30 days before the sale. We will apply the proceeds to what you owe plus the costs of notice and sale, and we will hold any extra amount for you for 12 months. If any law requires a different process, that process controls.

12. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

You may cancel or reschedule a pickup free of charge up to 2 hours before the start of your scheduled pickup window. You can do this from your account or by contacting us.

If you cancel after that time, or if no one is available to hand off the laundry, or we cannot reach the pickup spot or find your laundry during the window, the pickup is marked as a no-show. We do not charge a fee for a first-time late cancellation or no-show. If it happens again, later occurrences may be subject to a $15 fee. This fee is our reasonable estimate of the cost of a wasted trip, which is difficult to measure exactly, and it is not a penalty. You are never charged for the laundry itself for a pickup that did not happen.

Once we have picked up your laundry, the order cannot be cancelled. If you ask us to stop before washing has started, we will try to return your laundry, and you will pay for the services already provided.

We may cancel or reschedule a pickup or delivery at no charge to you because of weather, safety concerns, capacity, a facility closure, or other events described in Section 31. We will notify you as soon as we can.

13. Pickup, Delivery & Hand-Off

You do not have to be home for pickup or delivery. Tell us in your address’s access notes where to collect and drop off your laundry (for example, a porch, a lobby, or a specific spot) and we will follow those instructions.

When no one is available to receive your order, we leave it at the drop-off spot you chose and take a delivery photo that shows where it was left. Once we have completed delivery to the location you designated and recorded the delivery photo, the order is considered delivered, and the risk of loss passes back to you. You accept the risk of leaving your laundry unattended at your chosen spot, so please choose a place that is secure and protected from weather. We are not responsible for items taken or damaged after we have delivered them to the location you designated.

If you prefer hand-delivery, tell us in your access notes. We may hand your order to any adult at the address. If the person at the door appears to be a minor, we may instead leave the order at the drop-off spot or reschedule.

If we cannot complete a delivery because of an address, access, or safety problem, we will try to contact you and may try again in the next available window. If we cannot deliver after repeated attempts, we may hold your order for up to 14 days, and Section 11 then applies.

Our drivers may decline to enter or may leave any location that seems unsafe to them (for example, because of an aggressive animal or a threatening person), and we will reschedule at no charge to you.

14. Photos & Records

To document your order, we take photos at pickup (including your laundry on the scale) and at delivery (including where it was left). You agree to our taking and keeping these photos. We do not intentionally photograph people. Photos may include parts of your home’s entrance or surroundings.

We keep these photos and other records of your order (such as weights, notes, messages, and emails) for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, including to resolve questions and disputes, to defend against claims, and to meet legal and tax requirements. We do not use photos of your laundry or home in marketing without your permission.

You agree that our records of an order, including the scale photo and delivery photo with their time stamps, are reliable evidence of the weight, quantity, and condition of your laundry and of when and where it was delivered, and we will give them significant weight in any review, unless you show that they are inaccurate.

15. Wash Preferences & Care of Your Items

You can set default wash preferences (water temperature, drying temperature, detergent type, softener, bleach, and stain pre-treatment) in your account, and adjust them for each order. We do our best to follow your instructions and any notes you leave about specific garments. If a garment’s care label conflicts with your preferences, we may follow the label to protect the item.

We cannot guarantee results for delicate, worn, previously damaged, or improperly labeled items, or guarantee that every stain, odor, or wrinkle will be removed. If a garment needs special care, please tell us in your order notes before pickup.

17. Weight & Billing Disputes

If you believe an order was billed incorrectly (for example, because of a weight discrepancy) or has another problem covered by this Section, you can open a dispute from your account or email us at support@sundayfreelaundry.com within 48 hours after delivery, not counting Sundays. Please describe the problem and include photos if you can.

We will review the dispute with the records for the order, including the scale photo and any messages, and respond with a resolution (a credit, a refund, or a denial with an explanation), normally within 5 business days. If you are not satisfied, you can reply to ask for a second review by a different member of our team.

If we hold an order because the weight differs substantially from the estimate (see Section 10), we will tell you why and send you the scale photo so you can see what we saw.

18. Detergents, Allergies & Sensitivities

You can choose detergent options in your wash preferences, including fragrance-free and hypoallergenic options when available. If you have allergies or sensitive skin, please choose the appropriate options and tell us in your order notes. We do not promise that laundry will be free of every allergen or irritant, because it is washed in shared commercial machines. You are responsible for deciding whether our detergent options are suitable for you or your family. This Section does not limit our responsibility for harm caused by our negligence, as stated in Section 16(h).

19. Pet Laundry, Bulky & Special Items

Pet items (such as pet beds and blankets) and bulky items (such as comforters, blankets, and jackets) are priced per item and not by weight, on the prices published on our website, with any subscriber discount that applies to your plan. Pet items are washed in a separate load. Please tell us when you schedule the order about any pet items or bulky items you include. An item that is too large or too heavy for the machines we use, that has excessive pet hair, waste, or contamination, or that was not declared may be refused or billed as an adjustment under Section 10. Section 7 applies to pet items that contain waste or pests.

20. Third-Party Facilities & Service Providers

SundayFree does not own washing or drying equipment. Orders are processed using third-party, professionally operated self-service laundry facilities, and we may use contractors and service providers to help deliver the Service. We choose and monitor the facilities and providers we work with, and we are responsible to you under these Terms for the work they do for us, subject to the limits in Sections 16 and 29. We are not responsible for equipment malfunctions, power outages, or facility closures outside our reasonable control, but we will work to reschedule or re-process your order.

21. Subscriptions & Repeat Pickups

If you choose a recurring plan (Starter, Plus, or Concierge), the plan’s price, the number of pickups per month, the minimum weight per pickup, and the monthly base fee are shown when you sign up and on the plan’s page. Your pickups repeat on the schedule of your plan (every 14, 10, or 7 days, respectively). If a scheduled date falls on a Sunday, the pickup moves to the following Monday. A subscription continues, and is billed, until you cancel it.

By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method each month for the monthly base fee and, after each pickup, for any weight above the minimum and any other charges under these Terms, until you cancel.

You can skip a pickup, or change your pickup day, with the notice in Section 12. A new pickup day takes effect the following week. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account, with no cancellation fee. Cancelling applies to future pickups only. You will be charged only for the pickups that have already been processed, and any unused part of your monthly base fee will be refunded. A pickup already in progress is completed normally. We will email you a confirmation when you subscribe and when you cancel.

We may pause or end a subscription if the service area changes, if a balance remains unpaid, or for the reasons in Section 24, and we will tell you when we do. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before changing the price of your plan.

22. Referrals, Promotions & Credits

If we offer a referral program or a promotional code, the rules shown when the offer is made apply. As currently offered: a friend who books a first pickup through your personal referral link receives 10% off that order, and you receive 10% off your next order, once per referral. A promotional campaign code applies only to a customer’s first and second orders, and cannot replace a referral discount already applied.

Discounts, credits, and codes have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and may expire as shown when they are issued. You may not create multiple accounts or refer yourself to receive discounts. We may cancel discounts or credits that were obtained through misuse or fraud. We may change or end any program or code at any time, but a change does not affect a discount already applied to an order that you have placed.

23. Safety, Conduct & Right to Refuse Service

We want everyone to be safe. We may refuse, suspend, or end service to anyone whose behavior toward our team is threatening, abusive, or disrespectful, or who creates an unsafe situation (for example, by not securing an aggressive animal). Our drivers may leave an unsafe location without completing a pickup or delivery. We will contact you afterward to reschedule when it is safe to do so.

24. Account Suspension & Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us, and you remain responsible for amounts you already owe. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, is used fraudulently, has an unpaid balance, or poses a risk to our team or other customers. We will tell you when we do this, and we will return any laundry we still hold unless Section 11 applies.

25. Acceptable Use & Intellectual Property

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose. You will not give us false information, use another person’s payment method or account without permission, interfere with or try to break into the website or app, copy or scrape it, or use it to harass anyone. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable permission to use the website and app as described in these Terms. SundayFree’s name, logo, website, app, and content belong to SundayFree and may not be used without our written permission. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.

26. Communications & Electronic Consent

You agree that we may communicate with you electronically, by email and in your account, and that electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that a communication be in writing. We will send you service messages that are needed to provide the Service, such as order confirmations, pickup and delivery updates, invoices and receipts, safety notices, and notices about these Terms or your Privacy rights. You cannot opt out of these messages while you have an account. We will send promotional emails only if you opt in, and every promotional email has an unsubscribe link. Please keep your email address current and check your spam folder so you do not miss important notices.

27. Text Message (SMS) Notifications

If you opt in to receive text messages, you agree that SundayFree (and the service providers we use to send messages) may contact you by SMS at the phone number you provide, using automated technology, to send you order and account updates (such as pickup confirmations, reminders, and delivery status). Message frequency varies with your order activity. Message and data rates may apply. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using the Service. You can also choose to receive updates by email only. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any message, by telling us in any other reasonable way (for example, by email or through the Contact page), or by updating your notification preferences in your account. We will honor your request promptly and no later than the time the law allows. Reply HELP for help. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

30. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse SundayFree for reasonable losses, damages, and costs (including reasonable attorney fees) that result from: an item you included in violation of Section 6 or Section 7 (for example, a hazardous or infested item) that injures a member of our team or damages other property or facilities; your breach of these Terms; or a claim by someone else that you had no right to give us an item. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and consider your response before we act.

31. Events Beyond Our Control

We are not responsible for a delay or failure to perform that results from events beyond our reasonable control. These include severe weather, road closures, fire, flood, power or utility failures, facility closures, public-health or government orders, strikes, acts of war or terrorism, and failures of internet, payment, or telecommunications services. When this happens, we will tell you as soon as we reasonably can and will reschedule or re-process your order.

33. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as SundayFree grows. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email at the address on your account and in your account at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the change is needed sooner to comply with the law or to protect your safety or the security of the Service. The new version applies to future orders. Orders you placed before the new version took effect are completed under the Terms in effect when you placed them.

When the Terms change, we will show you the new version and ask you to review and accept it, by checking a box the next time you sign in or before you place a new order. You need to accept the new version to keep placing orders. If you do not agree, you may close your account before the change takes effect. We keep a record of the version you accepted and the date.

34. General Terms

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order-specific information we show you when you place an order, are the entire agreement between you and SundayFree about the Service. If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that part will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms right away, we do not give up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your account or these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer them to a successor to our business. Headings are for convenience only, and “including” means “including without limitation.” Sections that by their nature should continue after your account ends, including Sections 14, 16, 17, 29, 30, and 32, continue to apply. Nothing in these Terms makes you our partner, agent, or employee, and these Terms do not give rights to anyone who is not a party to them.

Notices to you will be sent to the email address on your account and may also appear in your account. Notices to us should be sent to support@sundayfreelaundry.com.

35. Contact Us

Questions about these Terms? The fastest way to reach us is through our Contact page, or you can email us directly at support@sundayfreelaundry.com.
